Ban white bread and pasta, and all other cereal products. Lots of food products advertised as healthy are actually keeping you from losing weight. If you do eat cereals in the morning, buy the muesli type with oats, nuts and dried fruits. It is very tasty, and this way you don't have to buy nuts separately. And do it with a twist: instead of milk, use coconut milk or almond milk. I have tried coconut milk and it does taste a lot better than cow's milk. Almond milk is something new for me, but it is recommended by lots of people, so it can be a good choice. It is actually made of almonds, so that it contains no cholesterol or lactose. Just make sure you buy the plain version, with no added sugars and vitamins. You will be eating lots of vegetables and fruits, which is the best natural source for vitamins. Substitute salads for your sandwiches: chicken salad instead of chicken sandwich and so on.



If you don't remember anything I told you until now, make sure you remember this: when you are feeling hungry, first drink water. A glass of water or two, as many as you need. Don't force it down, just drink as much as you feel you need. It will clench your hunger for at least a few minutes, and only then grab a sandwich or something to eat. This is because a lot of times we are not even hungry, the body needs the water to function. It can take fluids from food, but it's better if it has enough water available.

You will not just get used to it, it will be strange to be served with salty food every now and then. Salt holds on to water, some say as much as seven times it's own weight. That's a lot of water, and it can all be eliminated by refusing to eat salty foods.



One more thing you have to eliminate is sugar. Processed white sugar is the worst and brown sugar follows close. Honey is the natural choice, but still don't forget, it does contain a lot of sugar with all the calories and energy. So look for everything that you eat that has sugar, and don't use it. The best idea is to hide it away somewhere. Get it into a corner of the house where it is not easy to get to. I don't believe in throwing out food, even if it is not exactly healthy. Use it up slowly, and then buy only the healthy stuff. Plenty of fruits and berries to keep those cravings in check.
